Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add chopped onion and cook until soft. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, tomato sauce, both soups, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  5. Gently fold in cooked noodles until evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and casserole is bubbly.
  8. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
