Ingredients
- 2 slices of white or whole wheat bread
- 4 strips of bacon
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1–2 leaves of lettuce
- 2 slices of tomato
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side, until crispy. Place on paper towels to drain excess grease.
- Toast the bread with butter in a griddle or non-stick pan for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden and crispy.
- In the same skillet, fry the egg until the whites are set, but the yolk is runny, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- To assemble the sandwich, place a slice of toast on a plate. Add a layer of lettuce, followed by a slice of cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg, and a slice of tomato. Add another slice of cheese, then top with the second slice of toast.
