Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 500g ground pork
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons oil or butter (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Onion Mixture: In a pan, heat a little oil and sauté the chopped onion until softened and translucent. Allow to cool.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, cooled onions, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, eggs, mustard, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is fully incorporated.
  3. Shape the Patties: With damp or lightly oiled hands, shape the meat mixture into round patties about 3 inches wide and 1 inch thick.
  4. Cook the Frikadellen: Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
