These sliders are everything you want in a bite-sized sandwich—crispy, juicy chicken topped with a sweet and spicy bang bang sauce, nestled into soft buns. Perfect for parties or a weeknight indulgence.
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1–2 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Juice of 1/2 lime (optional)
For the Sliders:
- 10–12 slider buns
- Shredded lettuce or cabbage
- Pickles or sliced jalapeños (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- Mix flour with seasonings in a shallow bowl. Beat eggs in a second bowl. Add panko to a third bowl.
- Dredge marinated chicken in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F. Fry chicken until golden and cooked through. Drain on a wire rack.
- Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice to make the sauce.
- Toast slider buns. Assemble with lettuce, fried chicken, and a generous drizzle of bang bang sauce. Add optional toppings.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
