Caramel Apple Fritter Bread is a soft, cinnamon-swirled loaf packed with tender apples and finished with a rich caramel glaze. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick breakfast, brunch centerpiece, easy dinner dessert, healthy snack alternative, and cozy fall baking. With warm spices, fresh apples, buttery crumb, and sweet caramel topping, it’s one of the best homemade food ideas for breakfast ideas or dessert tables.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cup whole milk

2 cups peeled and diced apples

1/3 cup light brown sugar (for swirl)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for swirl)

1/2 cup caramel sauce

2 tablespoons heavy cream

Pinch salt (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan with grease and parchment paper.

2. Peel, core, and dice apples into small cubes.

3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

4. Beat butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.

5. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.

6. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing just until combined.

7. Fold diced apples gently into batter.

8. Layer half batter into pan, sprinkle half cinnamon sugar mixture, repeat with remaining batter and swirl.

9. Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

10. Cool completely on a wire rack.

11. Warm caramel sauce with cream and drizzle over cooled bread.

12. Let glaze set before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best texture.

Avoid overmixing after adding flour to keep the bread soft and tender.

Allow bread to cool completely before adding caramel glaze for a thick finish.
