A cozy, comforting meal made with juicy, golden-seared chicken breasts paired with silky buttered noodles. This dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner or an easy entertaining option—simple, rich, and satisfying.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skin-on chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for searing)
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp heavy cream or whole milk
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken skin-side down for 5–6 minutes, then flip and cook another 5–7 minutes until done.
- Remove chicken and let it rest.
- In a pot of salted boiling water, cook egg noodles until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
- In the same skillet used for chicken, melt butter and stir in cream. Add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
- Toss noodles into the skillet and coat them evenly in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Slice the rested chicken and serve over buttered noodles.
- Garnish with parsley and Parmesan if using.
