Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Stir in the oats, chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are set. Let them cool on the baking sheets for a couple of minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
