Ingredients

  • 1 large bag Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor recommended)
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (lean or your choice)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1 ½ cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream (optional)
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • 23 stalks Green Onion (chopped)
  • ½ cup Chopped Tomatoes (optional)
  • Fresh Parsley or Cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef, breaking it up as it browns. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  2. Season the Beef: Add taco seasoning to the beef, along with a little water (about ¼ cup), and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl, soften cream cheese and mix in sour cream and half of the chopped green onions. Stir until smooth.
  4. Assemble the Doritos Layers: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, layer Doritos, followed by half of the beef mixture, cream cheese mixture, and half of the shredded cheese. Repeat layers.
  5. Bake the Dish: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly. Broil for 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness on top.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with green onions, parsley, or cilantro. Add chopped tomatoes if desired.
