  • Yield: 2-4 servings

Description

Tender, golden-seared chicken breasts coated in a velvety Boursin cheese sauce infused with garlic and fine herbs. This quick and easy dish is packed with rich flavors, perfect for a comforting yet elegant meal.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 4 small ones)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For the Boursin Sauce:

  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or white wine)
  • 1 package (5.2 oz) Boursin Cheese with Garlic & Fine Herbs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried or fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: Lower the heat to medium and sauté garlic (if using) for 30 seconds. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits.
  4. Melt the Boursin Cheese: Add the Boursin cheese, heavy cream, and Dijon mustard. Stir until smooth and creamy. Add thyme and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return the Chicken to the Pan: Place the chicken back in the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and let simmer for 2 more minutes.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite side dishes.
