Description

Craving a bold and creamy dinner that’s packed with flavor and done in under 30 minutes? This Creamy Cowboy Butter Chicken is a one-skillet wonder that brings garlic, herbs, and spice together in a rich, buttery sauce. Perfect for weeknights or weekend dinner ideas, it’s an easy recipe you’ll want on repeat. Juicy chicken, smoky paprika, fresh parsley, and cream create the ultimate comfort food. Great for quick dinners, food ideas with minimal cleanup, or just when you need something delicious fast!

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon red chili flakes

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

2. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear for 5–6 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

3. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter to the pan along with minced garlic, chili flakes, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1–2 minutes until aromatic.

4. Deglaze the pan with lemon juice, scraping up the brown bits. Pour in the cream and stir well. Simmer gently for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Let simmer for 2–3 more minutes.

6. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use chicken thighs for juicier results—just adjust cooking time.

Let the cream simmer gently; avoid boiling to prevent splitting.

Crusty bread or mashed potatoes are perfect for soaking up the sauce.
