Ingredients
2 large lobster tails
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
0.5 cup heavy cream
0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
0.5 teaspoon paprika
Zest of 0.5 lemon
Fresh parsley, finely chopped, for garnish
Lemon wedges, for serving
1 tablespoon white wine (optional)
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Using kitchen shears, cut the top of each lobster shell lengthwise and pull the meat out to rest on top of the shell, keeping it attached at the base. Pat meat dry.
2. Season lobster tails with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
4. Stir in lemon juice, heavy cream, Dijon mustard (if using), Parmesan, and lemon zest. Whisk until creamy and slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Preheat broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack or broiler pan on top.
6. Place lobster tails on the rack. Spoon some garlic butter sauce over each.
7. Broil for 8–10 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and golden. Baste with more sauce halfway through.
8. Remove from oven, drizzle remaining sauce, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For a smooth sauce, let the butter and cream come to room temperature before combining.
Don’t skip preheating the broiler—it gives the lobster a beautiful golden top.
Baste once during broiling for extra flavor and moisture.
