Ingredients
12 oz rotini pasta
1 lb ground beef
1 ½ cups heavy cream
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook rotini pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
3. Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and let the sauce thicken slightly.
5. Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Adjust to taste.
6. Add the cooked rotini to the skillet and stir to combine. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
