Ingredients
4 cube steaks
2 cups beef broth
1 packet brown gravy mix (about 1 oz)
1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
1 medium onion, sliced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
2 tablespoons cold water (for cornstarch slurry)
Instructions
1. Slice the onion and set it aside.
2. Place the sliced onion in the bottom of the crockpot.
3. Lay the cube steaks in a single layer on top of the onions.
4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, brown gravy mix, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
5. Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the cube steaks.
6. Cover and cook on Low for 6–8 hours or High for 4–5 hours until the meat is tender.
