Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo cookies (with filling)
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 oz (3 blocks) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring (or to preference)
  • Whipped cream and crushed Oreos for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line the bottom of a springform pan with parchment paper.
  2. Crush Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor. Mix in melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the base of the pan and chill in the fridge while making the filling.
  4. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and mix until fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently after each.
  6. Stir in sour cream, heavy cream, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and red food coloring.
  7. Pour filling over the crust. Smooth the top and tap the pan on the counter to release air bubbles.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes. The center should slightly jiggle while the edges are set.
  9. Turn off oven and let cheesecake cool inside with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Before serving, garnish with whipped cream and crushed Oreos if desired.
