Ingredients
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
½ cup unsalted butter
1 ½ cups fresh or frozen blueberries
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the butter in an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking dish and let it melt in the oven while it preheats. Once melted, remove from oven and set aside.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
3. Pour in the milk and gently stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
4. Fold in the blueberries carefully, making sure not to crush them.
5. Spoon the dough evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish without stirring.
6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving warm.
Notes
Always use cold milk for best biscuit texture.
If using frozen blueberries, add them straight from the freezer without thawing.
Let the biscuits cool slightly before serving so the blueberry juices can set.
