Perfect for lazy weekends, brunch gatherings, or even dinner, this easy recipe is packed with bold Southern flavors and classic breakfast goodness. If you’re looking for breakfast ideas, quick breakfast recipes, or a fun twist on brunch, this is it!

Ingredients

1 sheet crescent roll dough

1/2 pound ground breakfast sausage

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup whole milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon butter or oil

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan. Roll out the crescent dough and press seams to form one crust. Create a slight edge around the border.

2. In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Leave about 1–2 tablespoons of grease in the pan.

3. Sprinkle flour over the sausage and stir to coat. Slowly add milk while stirring. Simmer until thickened, about 3–5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

4. In another pan, melt butter and scramble eggs until just set. Season lightly.

5. Spread sausage gravy evenly over crescent dough. Top with scrambled eggs, then sprinkle both cheeses on top.

6. Bake for 15–18 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

7. Let cool for 5 minutes, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Use the crescent dough sheet to save time pinching seams.

Don’t overcook eggs—they’ll finish in the oven.

Reheat leftovers in the oven to maintain the crispy crust.
