These easy baked meatballs are a simple yet delicious dish made with ground beef and pork, seasoned to perfection, and baked to golden-brown goodness. Topped with a savory tomato sauce, these meatballs are perfect for serving with pasta, as appetizers, or in a sandwich. A crowd-pleasing, comfort food meal made easy!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free, if preferred)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups tomato sauce (for baking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish or rimmed baking sheet by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F or 71°C).
  5. Remove the meatballs from the oven and pour tomato sauce over the top.
  6. Return the meatballs to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to heat through.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
