Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free, if preferred)
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups tomato sauce (for baking)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish or rimmed baking sheet by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking dish.
- Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F or 71°C).
- Remove the meatballs from the oven and pour tomato sauce over the top.
- Return the meatballs to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
