Ingredients
- 3 large egg whites (room temperature)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 box (3 oz) flavored Jello powder (any flavor)
- ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°F (95°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whip the egg whites in a clean, grease-free bowl on medium speed until frothy.
- Add the cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
- Slowly add the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while mixing on high speed until the meringue is glossy and forms stiff peaks.
- Sprinkle in the Jello powder and vanilla extract, then mix until well combined.
- Transfer the meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe small mounds onto the lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 60–90 minutes until the cookies are dry to the touch and lift easily from the parchment paper.
- Turn off the oven and let the cookies cool inside for an hour with the door slightly open.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them crisp.
