1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs room temperature

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

0.5 cup buttermilk

0.25 cup whole milk

0.5 cup unsalted butter softened

1.25 cups powdered sugar sifted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

0.5 teaspoon lemon zest optional

0.33 cup marshmallow fluff or whipped cream cheese

2 tablespoons heavy cream

0.25 cup fruit preserves or jam (peach, strawberry, or mango)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.

5. Alternately add the dry ingredients and combined buttermilk and milk to the butter mixture. Mix until just combined.

6. Use a cookie scoop to drop batter onto lined baking sheets. Space them 2 inches apart.
