Ideal for those seeking flavor-packed food ideas that don’t take all night to cook—these skewers bring together smoky char, bold garlic, and cheesy goodness in every bite.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs large shrimp (peeled, deveined, tails on)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

3 cloves garlic (minced)

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt to taste

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Juice of half a lemon

Skewers (wooden soaked or metal)

Olive oil spray or brush (for grill)

Instructions

1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Ensure they are fully deveined.

2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, oregano, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt.

3. Add the shrimp and toss until evenly coated. Let marinate for 15–20 minutes at room temperature.

4. Thread 4–5 shrimp onto each skewer, piercing near the tail and head so they lay flat.

5. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C). Grease grill with olive oil.

6. Grill the skewers for 2–3 minutes per side until shrimp are pink, opaque, and slightly charred.

7. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the hot skewers and top with fresh parsley and lemon juice.

8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges or dipping sauce of your choice.

Notes

Use fresh, large shrimp with tails on for best grilling results and flavor.

Don’t skip soaking wooden skewers to avoid them burning on the grill.

Always use freshly grated Parmesan for the best melt and flavor.
