Ingredients
300g steak
250g linguine pasta
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup pasta water (reserved from cooking)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. Pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 3–4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
4. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, then garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until fragrant but not burnt.
5. Add drained pasta and a splash of pasta water to the skillet, tossing to coat in garlic butter.
6. Slice steak thinly against the grain and arrange over pasta.
7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Use a cast iron skillet for the best steak sear.
Don’t overcook garlic—it becomes bitter quickly.
Always slice steak against the grain for maximum tenderness.
