Ingredients
1 pack Hawaiian sweet rolls (12-count)
12 slices deli ham
6 slices Swiss cheese
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1/4 cup thinly sliced red onions (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Slice the rolls horizontally without separating them; keep the top and bottom halves intact.
3. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared dish.
4. Layer ham evenly across the bottom rolls, then top with cheese slices. Add red onions if using.
5. Place the top half of the rolls back on to complete the sandwiches.
6. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and poppy seeds.
7. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the rolls, ensuring full coverage.
8. Let the sliders rest for 10 minutes to absorb the glaze.
9. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
10. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until golden and slightly crisp.
11. Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Let the butter soak for 10 minutes before baking for maximum flavor.
Don’t skip covering the sliders with foil during the first part of baking—it ensures even melting and prevents burning.
These reheat beautifully in the oven at 300°F wrapped in foil.
