Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, then let it cool slightly.
2. Add granulated and brown sugars to the butter and whisk until smooth and glossy.
3. Whisk in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
4. Sift cocoa powder, flour, and salt into the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
5. Fold in chocolate chips evenly with a spatula.
6. Pour the batter into a parchment-lined 8×8 inch baking dish and smooth the top.
7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
8. Let brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
Make sure the butter is slightly cooled before adding sugar and eggs to avoid scrambling.
Use parchment paper for easier lifting and cleaner slices.
For extra fudgy brownies, reduce flour to 3/4 cup and avoid overbaking.
