Ingredients
- 6 bone-in or boneless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1–2 tablespoons water (for slurry)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional garnish)
- Chopped parsley or green onions (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- (Optional) Sear chicken in a skillet until lightly browned.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, and sesame oil.
- Place chicken in the slow cooker and pour sauce over it.
- Cover and cook:
- On LOW for 6–7 hours
- Or on HIGH for 3–4 hours
- Mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Stir slurry into sauce 15–20 minutes before serving to thicken.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped herbs if desired.
- Serve with rice, noodles, or vegetables.
