Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cup water or milk
  • 1/3 cup ketchup (plus more for glaze)

Optional:

  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, soup mix, eggs, breadcrumbs, water or milk, and ketchup.
  3. Mix gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  4. Transfer mixture to prepared pan or form into a loaf shape on a baking sheet.
  5. Spread a layer of ketchup on top for glaze.
  6. Bake for 55–60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
