- 8 oz fettuccine or tagliatelle pasta

For the Sauce:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or reserved pasta water
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (plus extra for garnish)
Optional Add-Ins:
- Sliced bell peppers, mushrooms
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil fettuccine in salted water until just al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Season the Chicken: Toss cubed chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Cook chicken over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through, 5–6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Start the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic, smoked paprika, and chili flakes. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add BBQ + Tomato Base: Stir in BBQ sauce, tomato sauce, Worcestershire, and broth or pasta water. Simmer for 4–5 minutes.
