Ingredients
For the Beef Marinade:
- 300g (10 oz) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp chili flakes or chili paste
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Skillet Rice:
- 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 cup mixed bell peppers, diced
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Green onions or parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the beef in soy sauce, honey, chili, garlic, and black pepper for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef in batches for 2–3 minutes per side. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent. Add bell peppers and cook for another 2–3 minutes. Stir in green peas.
- Add rice, breaking up clumps. Stir in soy sauce, honey, and smoked paprika.
- Return the beef to the skillet. Cook everything together for 2–3 minutes.
