Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank, thinly sliced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 green bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 (20 oz) package of cheese tortellini
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional for spice)



Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak and Vegetables
    • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the thinly sliced steak, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the steak and set aside.
  2. Cook the Vegetables
    • In the same skillet, add onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
    • Stir in Worcestershire sauce for added flavor.
  3. Create the Creamy Sauce
    • Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring well.
    • Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-6 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Add the Tortellini and Cheese
    • Add the cheese tortellini directly into the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
    • Sprinkle in provolone and Parmesan cheese, stirring gradually to melt smoothly.
  5. Combine and Serve
    • Return the cooked steak to the skillet and stir everything together.
