Description

Craving pizza without the guilt? This Pizza Style Cottage Cheese Bake brings all your favorite pizza flavors—cheesy, savory, crispy—into a protein-rich, low-carb meal that’s perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Whether you’re exploring new dinner ideas, looking for a healthy snack, or need an easy recipe to satisfy your cravings, this dish has you covered. With bubbling mozzarella, zesty pepperoni, and a creamy cottage cheese base, this is comfort food made smarter.

Ingredients

2 cups cottage cheese

2 large eggs

0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

0.5 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

0.75 cup marinara or pizza sauce

1520 slices pepperoni

1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional fresh basil, red pepper flakes, or chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish or cast iron skillet with olive oil.

2. In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, Parmesan, 1 cup of mozzarella, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.

3. Spread the mixture evenly into your greased dish or skillet.

4. Gently spread the marinara sauce on top, creating a uniform layer.

5. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese, then add pepperoni slices evenly across the surface.

6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly. For crispier edges, broil for the final 2–3 minutes.

7. Let the bake rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with herbs if desired, and serve.

Notes

Always drain excess liquid from cottage cheese to avoid a soggy base.

Letting the bake rest after cooking ensures clean slices and helps it set properly.

Freshly shredded cheese melts better and creates a more satisfying texture.
