Description

These Quick BBQ Chicken Sliders are the ultimate crowd-pleaser—soft, golden slider buns packed with tender shredded chicken tossed in smoky BBQ sauce, layered with melty mozzarella and crisp red onions. Perfect for game days, potlucks, or a fast weeknight dinner, this easy recipe is packed with flavor and comes together in under 30 minutes. Whether you’re after quick dinner ideas, tasty finger food, or an easy party snack, these sliders deliver every time.

Ingredients

2 cups shredded cooked chicken

1/2 cup BBQ sauce

12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.

2. Mix shredded chicken and BBQ sauce in a bowl until well coated.

3. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally without separating the individual rolls. Place the bottom half on the baking sheet.

4. Spread the BBQ chicken evenly over the bottom buns. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and sliced red onions.

5. Place the top half of the buns over the filling to create a sandwich.

6. Mix melted butter with garlic powder, dried parsley, and cracked black pepper. Brush this over the tops of the buns.

7. Bake uncovered for 15–18 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and cheese is melted.

8. Let rest for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Use pre-cooked or rotisserie chicken to save prep time.

Tent the sliders with foil if the tops brown too quickly while baking.

These are freezer-friendly—assemble and freeze unbaked for later use.
