Description

Ranch Pork Chops are a quick and flavorful dish that combines the rich taste of pork with the tangy, creamy ranch seasoning. The crispy sear on the outside and the juicy, tender interior make these pork chops an irresistible meal. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or any occasion, they are simple to prepare yet packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or homemade ranch seasoning)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh thyme or parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Season the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning into the meat.

  • Heat the Skillet: Heat a cast iron skillet or non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and let it heat until shimmering.

  • Sear the Pork Chops: Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Do not move the pork chops around while searing to ensure a nice crust.

  • Add Butter and Finish Cooking: Add butter to the pan and let it melt. Spoon the butter over the chops, reducing the heat to medium. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes per side, until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  • Rest the Pork Chops: Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.

  • Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired. Serve with your choice of sides and enjoy!
