Description

This Salmon Seasoning blend is the perfect mix of smoky, savory, and slightly sweet flavors that enhance the natural richness of salmon. Made with pantry staples like smoked paprika, garlic powder, and herbs, it’s quick to mix and incredibly versatile. Use it on baked, grilled, or pan-seared salmon for a guaranteed flavor boost.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon black pepper

0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon kosher salt

0.5 teaspoon crushed fennel seeds

0.5 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

1. Gather and measure all ingredients.

2. Combine all spices in a small mixing bowl.

3. Mix thoroughly until the blend is uniform in color and texture.

4. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.

5. Apply generously to dry salmon fillets and let rest for 10–15 minutes.

6. Store any extra seasoning in an airtight jar in a cool, dry place.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

If using lemon zest, consider refrigerating the blend for freshness.

Great on shrimp, tilapia, and roasted vegetables.
