Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
6 oz brie cheese, sliced
1/3 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
1 sprig fresh rosemary, cut into small tips
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Optional: 2 tbsp chopped pecans or walnuts
Optional: 1 tsp honey (for drizzling)
Optional: pinch of black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin.
2. Roll out puff pastry and cut into rounds to fit into muffin cups.
3. Gently press pastry circles into the muffin tin.
4. Place a small slice of brie into the center of each pastry.
5. Add about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of the brie.
6. Lightly brush the exposed pastry with the beaten egg.
7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the pastry is golden and puffed.
8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
9. Garnish with rosemary sprigs and optional toppings if desired.
10. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Keep the puff pastry cold until ready to use to ensure optimal flakiness.
Avoid overfilling with cranberry sauce to prevent soggy bottoms.
Let the tartlets cool slightly before removing from the muffin tin for clean edges.
