Ingredients
10 oz cheese tortellini
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup heavy cream
3 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add shrimp in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet.
3. Add remaining 1 tablespoon butter and garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat and stir in Parmesan cheese. Whisk until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
5. Return tortellini and shrimp to the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything evenly in the sauce. Simmer on low for 2–3 more minutes.
6. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve immediately.
