S’mores Sushi

  • Author: Emily Carter
  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 8 sushi pieces per roll

Description

A playful dessert twist on the classic campfire treat, S’mores Sushi is a no-bake, family-friendly delight that combines sticky sweet rice, gooey marshmallow, crunchy graham crackers, and decadent chocolate drizzle—all rolled into fun, sushi-style bites.

Ingredients

For the Sweet Sushi Rice:

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1¼ cups water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Pinch of salt

For the Filling:

  • ½ cup marshmallow fluff (or slightly melted mini marshmallows)
  • ½ cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1 sheet nori (optional)

For the Topping:

  • ¼ cup chocolate sauce or melted chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons extra crushed graham crackers

Optional Add-ins:

  • Peanut butter or Nutella
  • Mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine rinsed rice and water in a pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15–20 minutes. Let it rest off heat for 10 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, stir together sugar, rice vinegar, and salt. Gently mix into the warm rice. Cool to room temperature.
  4. Lay plastic wrap over a bamboo sushi mat. Press a thin, even layer of cooled rice across the surface.
  5. In the center, add marshmallow fluff and crushed graham crackers. Optionally, add peanut butter or Nutella.
  6. Roll up the sushi using the mat, pressing gently but firmly.
  7. Chill the roll for 10–15 minutes to firm it up.
  8. Slice with a sharp, damp knife.
  9. Drizzle chocolate over the top and sprinkle with extra graham cracker crumbs.
