Ingredients

  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into strips)
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Optional: 1/4 cup heavy cream or grated Parmesan
  • Optional add-ins: sun-dried tomatoes, bell peppers, red pepper flakes
  • Garnish: fresh parsley or chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine in salted boiling water until just al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken strips in a single layer.
  3. Season with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from pan.
  4. In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Deglaze with chicken broth, scraping the bottom to release flavor.
  5. Return chicken to pan. Add linguine and toss everything together.
  6. If needed, add reserved pasta water for a silkier sauce.
  7. Optional: Stir in heavy cream or Parmesan for a creamy finish. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  8. Taste, adjust seasoning, and garnish with parsley or green onions. Serve hot.
