Whether you need quick breakfast inspiration, easy dinner ideas, or Halloween food ideas, this easy recipe is festive, healthy, and crowd-pleasing. Bring spooky charm to your table with these deliciously eerie bites!

Ingredients

1 fresh baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds

1 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes, finely chopped

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 garlic clove, minced

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped

1 ball fresh burrata or mozzarella

2 to 3 black olives

Optional: balsamic glaze for drizzle

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Toast for 7–10 minutes or until golden brown.

2. In a bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Let rest for 5–10 minutes to develop flavor.

3. Form ghost shapes using burrata or mozzarella. Spoon or tear the cheese into ghost-like blobs and set aside.

4. Use a straw or piping tip to punch out black olive eyes. Gently place them on the cheese ghosts.

5. Top each toasted baguette slice with tomato mixture, then place a cheese ghost on top. Add olive eyes and garnish with fresh basil or drizzle of balsamic glaze if desired.

6. Serve immediately on a platter and enjoy your hauntingly delicious snack!

Notes

Burrata makes creamier ghosts, while mozzarella holds shape better for defined outlines.

Use day-old bread for a crispier, sturdier base.

Prepare components in advance but assemble right before serving to keep the texture perfect.
