Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
16 oz cremini or white mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
8 oz cream cheese, softened
0.5 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
0.25 cup chopped green onions (optional)
Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a cast iron or oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
2. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 8–10 minutes until they release moisture and start browning.
3. Add garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper, and cook for 1–2 more minutes.
