Ingredients

For the roasted cauliflower:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the sweet and spicy glaze:

  • 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water (slurry)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)

For garnish (optional):

  • Chopped green onions
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut and dry the cauliflower, then toss with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Spread on the baking sheet and roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Meanwhile, make the sauce: combine honey, soy sauce, sriracha, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  6. Toss roasted cauliflower with the warm sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Optionally return to oven for 5 minutes for extra caramelization.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
