  • Author: Emily Carter
  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

These Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings are oven-baked to crispy perfection, then tossed in a sticky glaze made with honey, soy sauce, and a kick of sriracha. Each bite balances savory, sweet, and heat — making them the perfect appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

For the Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

For the Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Garnish (optional):

  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped parsley or cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a greased wire rack on top.
  2. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, toss wings with baking powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Arrange wings on the rack, leaving space between each.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, flip, then bake for another 20–25 minutes until crispy.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine all glaze ingredients. Simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Remove wings from oven and toss in the warm glaze until coated.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped herbs. Serve hot.
