Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
- Dipping sauce of choice (ketchup, mustard, burger sauce, etc.)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Add diced onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
- Assemble the Egg Rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cheeseburger mixture into the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll tightly, sealing the edge with a dab of water. Repeat for all wrappers.
- Fry the Egg Rolls: Heat about 2 inches of oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the egg rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes or until golden and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve: Enjoy hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
