Description
Crispy Air Fryer French Fries are a healthier, mess-free alternative to traditional deep-fried fries. Made with just a few basic ingredients, these golden fries are crispy on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. Whether you’re pairing them with burgers or enjoying them solo with a dip, they’re always a hit—easy to make, low in oil, and endlessly customizable.
Ingredients
2 large russet potatoes
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Instructions
1. Peel the russet potatoes (or leave the skins on for a rustic version) and cut them into even ¼-inch sticks.
2. Soak the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. Drain and thoroughly pat the potatoes dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
4. In a large bowl, toss the dried potatoes with olive oil, salt, and optional seasonings like paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
6. Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
7. Air fry the potatoes for 15 to 18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
8. Once the fries are golden brown and crispy, remove from the air fryer and season again to taste. Serve hot.
