Description

Looking for a decadent, make-ahead dessert that feels fancy but is surprisingly easy to prepare? These Triple Chocolate Mousse Cups are your answer. With three luscious layers of dark, milk, and white chocolate mousse set over a chocolate cookie base, this dessert is as stunning as it is satisfying. Perfect for everything from dinner parties to date nights, they’re individually portioned, rich in flavor, and full of easy dessert, chocolate mousse, and party food ideas vibes. If you’re into no-bake desserts, quick treats, or layered sweets, this one’s a keeper.

Ingredients

120g dark chocolate

120g milk chocolate

120g white chocolate

3 cups heavy whipping cream (divided evenly per layer)

6 tablespoons butter (2 tbsp per chocolate layer)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon sugar (optional, adjust to taste)

1 cup crushed chocolate cookies or brownie chunks

2 tablespoons melted butter (for the base)

1 teaspoon gelatin (optional, for extra structure)

Instructions

1. Prepare the base by combining crushed chocolate cookies or brownie chunks with melted butter. Press into the bottom of each serving glass and chill while you make the mousse.

2. Melt the dark chocolate and let it cool slightly. Whip 1 cup of heavy cream to soft peaks, then fold in the cooled chocolate. Spoon or pipe over the base layer and refrigerate.

3. Repeat the process for milk chocolate: melt, cool, whip another cup of cream, fold together, and layer it over the dark chocolate mousse. Chill again until firm.

4. Repeat with white chocolate and the final cup of whipped cream. Carefully layer it over the milk chocolate mousse and smooth the top.

5. Chill the assembled mousse cups for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to fully set.

6. Before serving, garnish with whipped cream, chocolate curls, or fresh berries as desired.

Notes

For perfectly neat layers, use a piping bag for each mousse and refrigerate between layers.

Always cool your melted chocolate before folding it into whipped cream to avoid deflation.

The mousse cups can be made a full day ahead—just add toppings before serving for the best presentation.
