2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup sour cream

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 cup fresh cranberries or cherries

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1/4 cup chopped nuts


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan thoroughly.

2. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.

5. Alternate adding dry ingredients with milk and sour cream, mixing gently.

6. Pour batter into pan and smooth the top.

7. Bake for 45–55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

8. Cool for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.

9. Heat cream and pour over chocolate chips, then stir until smooth and add butter.

10. Pour glaze over cooled cake.
