With simple ingredients and bold flavor, Fried Green Beans pair perfectly with ranch dressing, spicy aioli, garlic dip, or your favorite sauce. They are quick to prepare, incredibly satisfying, and ideal for anyone looking for crispy comfort food with a fresh vegetable twist.

Ingredients

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons milk

1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional

Vegetable oil for frying

Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Ranch dressing or dipping sauce for serving

Instructions

1. Wash and trim the green beans, then pat them completely dry with paper towels.

2. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and milk, and one with panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

3. Coat each green bean in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then roll in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated.

4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).

5. Fry the coated green beans in small batches for 2 to 4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

6. Remove the green beans using tongs and place them on a wire rack or paper towel-lined tray to drain excess oil.

7. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese or salt while still hot if desired.

8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Always dry the green beans thoroughly before breading to help the coating stick properly and become extra crispy.

Fry the green beans in small batches to maintain consistent oil temperature and avoid greasy coating.

Serve immediately after frying for the crispiest texture and best flavor.
