Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup chopped spinach, drained well
1 cup chopped artichoke hearts, drained
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or cast-iron skillet.
2. If using frozen spinach, thaw it completely and squeeze out all excess moisture.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
4. Add garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly.
5. Fold in the chopped spinach and artichoke hearts until evenly combined.
6. Stir in the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and optional Monterey Jack cheese.
7. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
8. Top with extra mozzarella and Parmesan cheese if desired.
9. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
10. Broil for 1–2 minutes for a deeper golden cheese topping if desired.
11. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes before serving.
12. Garnish with parsley and serve warm with chips, bread, crackers, or vegetables.
Notes
Drain the spinach and artichokes thoroughly to prevent the dip from becoming watery.
Freshly shredded cheese melts more smoothly and creates a creamier texture than pre-shredded cheese.
Serve the dip warm for the best creamy consistency and flavor.
