½ cup vegetable oil

1 cup hot coffee or hot water

1 cup unsalted butter

3 cups powdered sugar

3 tablespoons heavy cream

1 teaspoon rose extract or rose water

Red or burgundy food coloring as needed

2 tablespoons edible sugar pearls


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.

2. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Mix eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

4. Add milk, oil, and vanilla extract and combine well.

5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture.

6. Pour in hot coffee or water and mix until smooth batter forms.

7. Fill liners two-thirds full and bake for 18–22 minutes.

8. Cool cupcakes completely before frosting.

9. Beat butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar gradually.

10. Mix in heavy cream and rose extract until smooth.

11. Add food coloring gradually to achieve rose color.

12. Pipe frosting into rose shapes.

13. Decorate with sugar pearls and serve.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for best texture.

Do not overuse rose extract as it can become overpowering.

Chill frosting slightly if it becomes too soft for piping.
