Whether you need quick dinner ideas, an easy recipe, or a reliable comfort dish, this one delivers every time.

Ingredients

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs

1 cup long grain white rice

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 1/2 cups chicken broth or water

1 packet onion soup mix

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and chicken broth until smooth.

3. Stir in the uncooked rice until fully coated.

4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.

5. Place chicken pieces on top of the rice mixture.

6. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

7. Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over the entire dish.

8. Dot butter over the top for extra richness.

9. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.

10. Bake for 1 hour 20 minutes without opening the oven.

11. Optional: uncover for the last 10 minutes to lightly brown the chicken.

12. Let rest for 5–10 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Do not use instant rice as it will become overly mushy during baking.

Always seal the foil tightly to trap steam and ensure the rice cooks properly.

Let the dish rest before serving to allow the rice to absorb remaining moisture.
