Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups Easter M&M candies

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Extra Easter M&M candies for topping

Optional Easter sprinkles

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.

3. Whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

4. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition.

5. Stir in the vanilla extract.

6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

7. Fold in the Easter M&M candies, white chocolate chips, and semi-sweet chocolate chips.

8. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.

9. Press extra Easter M&M candies and sprinkles onto the top.

10. Bake for 28 to 35 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is slightly soft.

11. Cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter after adding the flour to keep the blondies soft and chewy.

Remove the blondies from the oven when the center still looks slightly soft because they continue setting while cooling.

For bakery-style blondies, press extra Easter M&M candies onto the top of the batter before baking.
