Description

These Red Velvet Brownies are rich, fudgy, and packed with deep cocoa flavor with a gorgeous cream cheese swirl on top. Perfect for a quick dessert, holiday treat, Valentine’s Day dessert, easy baking recipe, party dessert, or chocolate lover’s dream, these brownies combine the classic flavor of red velvet cake with the dense texture of homemade brownies. Whether you need easy dessert ideas, food ideas for gatherings, or a bakery-style sweet treat, these brownies deliver soft centers, crisp edges, and irresistible flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon red food coloring

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon white vinegar

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease the paper for easier removal.

2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan and allow it to cool slightly.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy.

4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

5. Stir in the vanilla extract, red food coloring, and vinegar until fully combined.

6. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Fold gently until no dry streaks remain.

7. Fold in the white chocolate chips if using.

8. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then mix until creamy.

9. Spread most of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.

10. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the batter.

11. Add small dollops of the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer.

12. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the cream cheese and brownie batter together gently.

13. Bake for 28 to 35 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.

14. Cool the brownies completely before slicing for the cleanest texture.

15. Serve chilled or at room temperature and enjoy.

Notes

Use gel food coloring for a more vibrant red color without thinning the batter.

Do not overmix the batter after adding the flour to keep the brownies soft and fudgy.

For clean bakery-style slices, refrigerate the brownies for at least 30 minutes before cutting.
